Acerca del evento

If your immigration case was closed or paused in the past, you need to know what the new changes could mean for you.

When the immigration court decides to pause a case without making a final decision. This is called an administrative closure. It means your case wasn’t approved or denied — it was simply taken off the active court schedule, often while waiting for another process or petition to move forward.

Recently, the government has asked immigration judges to reopen many of these paused cases and put them back on the court calendar. This means your case could be brought back into immigration court, and you may need to take action to protect your legal status.

In this session, the Attorney will explain:

  • What an “administrative closure” really means

  • Why the government is reopening these old cases
